Parents who wish to meet with the Head of School, a teacher, or any member of the school staff must contact the office to arrange a mutually convenient meeting time. For the sake of good order, parents may not approach staff members during the school day without arranging an appointment beforehand.
Communication between the teacher and parents may occur by phone, Communication Book, or in person. Teachers may not participate in discussions at times that could conflict with teaching or supervisory duties. When requests are made for a call or conference, both the parent and the staff member should be aware of the purpose so that all concerned may be appropriately prepared. All student issues should be addressed first with the classroom teacher and, if not satisfactorily resolved, then taken to the Head of School.
